What are the benefits of having a wedding in Portugal? 

 

Nowadays, many couples are choosing to stay away from the traditional (and expensive) style wedding and prefer to have an intimate wedding at a location they love. A wedding in Portugal allows you to go from a celebration that last one day at home to one that will become a mini vacation for you and your guests and leave you with memories that will last a life time.The average size of a destination wedding tends to be smaller in size than a traditional wedding which means it is much more affordable for the couple.

 

How far in advance should I start to plan my wedding in Portugal?  

 

9-15 months is an ideal amount of time, however gorgeous weddings can be planned in much less. If you do have time to plan ahead, we always recommend starting the process sooner rather than later.

 

What are the legal requirements when getting married in Portugal?

 

Taking care of the paper work is not as difficult as it may seem, and we will be happy to take care of everything for you. You can also sign the legal documentation at home before arriving and then carry out a full Church of England, Catholic, or non religious ceremony in Portugal with out signing the register.

 

How do I ensure my guests can afford to come to my wedding?

 

One of the best ways to help guarantee that your guests can afford to attend wedding in Portugal is to plan in advance so they have enough time to plan and budget accordingly. You may also want to consider the resort and time of year you’d like to marry. Portugal has over 3000 hours of sunshine per year making it one sunniest countries in Europe, you`ll benefit from less tourists and more space on the beach by and choosing a month that don`t have "high season" rates.

We are with our couples from the beginning stages of the planning process to greeting your guests at the airport and every thing you need taken care of in between right up to the moment you return home. We are familiar the destinations and resorts  all across Portugal and because we are fluent in Portuguese and English you will never have to worry about getting your exact vision across to any vendor.

 

Will I need an on-site wedding coordinator ?

 

A Wedding Planner and on-site coordinator provide two services that complement each other and should work together to make your day memorable.

 

   If you`re thinking of having your big day at full service wedding venue chances are there is probably an on site coordinator included. But what is the difference between having an independent wedding planner and an on site coordinator? Who they work for for starters. Your wedding planner is exactly that yours while your on site coordinators primary focus is the venue.They`re responsible for the aspects of your wedding that are directly related to the venue for example, menu tasting and rooms you may have booked for yourself or guests. Then your on your own until a couple of months before your wedding to sort out logistics. On the day of the wedding they will check that the site is "set up" is as previously requested, and all the food and beverage requirements are being met. After the ceremony and main meal has been served their shift has ended and your wedding will be handed over to the banquet manager. 

 

 On the other hand our job as your wedding planner is to turn your vision into a reality and to help you from day one. We will answer all your questions, show you vendors and venues that are most in line with your wishes and keep you within your budget.  

 

  By the day of your wedding we will know your wedding as well as you do, so while your getting ready and enjoying breakfast, hair, and make up, we`re all ready taking care of everything so you can truly enjoy your day.
